This holiday season, give a gift that won't be impacted by the supply chain.
Ideas for journalistic gift-giving.
Unless you haven’t read any news or shopped for anything at all in the last 20 months, you’ve likely heard about and felt the effects of Covid-19 on the global supply chain. National lockdowns, factory closures, and labor shortages have created a perfect storm, making it much more difficult than usual to acquire all sorts of necessities and goods.
If you’ve noticed retailers across multiple sectors send emails and launch holiday campaigns even earlier than usual, blame it on the supply chain. And actually, these companies aren’t being alarmists — if you’re waiting for Black Friday to order holiday gifts, you’ll probably be too late.
So what should you do? How about giving a gift that won’t be impacted by the supply chain? Support journalism this holiday season!
